The city means different things to different people. Our perception of the city is not a constant but ever changing.
In this show, six artists ‘enter’ the city through different vantage points, and explore its colours and contours in unique ways. In their work, they offer fresh and diverse perspectives, subtly hinting at the city’s delights and mysteries; symbols and emblems; shades and nuances; burdens and trappings; relationships and contradictions.
The paintings in this exhibition are not just pretty pictures or empty slogans. They are little vignettes of and delicate commentaries on the city; each one presented with intimate feeling, contemplation and unpretentious understanding.

Coffee Tables 1&2

Coffee Table 1 using Carved and Painted Woodblock,  18" X 24" X 12"

Re-Flex @ BAR 1 curated by Christoph Storz

The overuse and the fancy for flex in day to day happenings of the city are basically considered to be anti-environmental and also criticized as visual pollution. In this context the re-use or re-cycle of the material seems to be a significant issue. My work which is a decorative piece like a chandelier resulted from the thought that the used/discarded material could be used to create a decorative/fancy piece.

Calender Project-2012

As part of Trellis Artists' Circle's printmaking activities, recently we tied up with 'Cobalt Experiential Marketing' to create limited edition 2012 calendars with original etching prints for their exclusive clients. 6 members of Trellis group (V.G.Venugopal, Vijayasarathy C.N, Vaidehi R, Harisha V, Prasad K.J and Urmila V.G.)  worked for more than two weeks to create a small format etching with 25 editions and 7 artists prints for personal collections; Thanks to Lina who coordinated with the project.  It was really a wonderful platform for trellis to reach out more people and spread the medium of printmaking among various sections particularly to the corporate sector.
