‘NESTS’ is the result of a key issue related to our environment which always keeps haunting in these days. A group of artificial nests displayed on a huge ‘teak’ tree , created using plastic wastes, is a critical statement about our senseless lifestyle and destruction of environmental resources. It is known that in the name of developmental works in the metros we are witnessing a huge loss of greenery resulting in the ecological imbalance. Birds living in unusual adopted homes like flyovers and other concrete structures are a common sight. The traces of plastic wastes are found in the nests in few natural spaces available within the city. The increasing use of plastic is spreading even in the rural areas. This particular installation is an attempt to comment on the selfish human living, resulting in an unwanted and unsecured situation for one of the most essential link in our eco system in the coming days.
